WINTER SESSION

All 8-week sessions for $120

The Cornerstone Ice Arena Learn to Skate Program features the U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills curriculum. We offer multiple weekly classes year-round, and participants can join at any time. We prorate if you join late. We now accept Blue Cross Blue Shield Wellness Debit Card and Independent Health’s Extra Card for skating programs.
Basic Skills offers a curriculum that is fun, challenging, and rewarding for children and adults ages 3 and up. These classes are for beginner skaters thru advanced level skaters. Class includes 25 instruction and 25 minute practice time. Helmets recommended but not required. (bike helmets are fine!)
There are no make-ups for missed classes or refunds.
Learn To Skate For Hockey
Mondays at 6:30pm 8 Weeks $120
Wednesdays at 6:10pm 8 Weeks $120
Ages 3 and up
This class will teach basic hockey skating skills without the use of sticks or pucks. This program is for beginner through advanced skaters. Students will learn or improve their balance, edge quality, and speed.
The student will be working on hockey badges 1-4 and power skating badge, which consists of proper stance, swizzles, snowplow and hockey stops, backward skating, crossovers, and Mohawks. Class includes 25 instruction and 25 minute practice time. Helmets recommended but not required. (bike helmets are fine).
There are no make-ups for missed classes or refunds.

Walk On Session – $20
Ages 7+
Sharpen your hockey skating skills with our figure skating coaches and Buffalo Stampede junior hockey players. This 50 minute class will focus on edge quality, power, speed and control. Focus will be on skating skills from a figure skating perspective and will be taught without the use of sticks and pucks. We will focus on knee bend, edges, leg drive, recovery and arm swing to achieve speed. Skaters will also use resistance parachutes to help gain and improve speed.
There are no make-ups for missed classes or refunds.

Learn To Skate For Adults
Tuesdays at 11am 1/6-2/24
8 weeks for $120
Progressive USFSA Basic Skills classes focus on the mastery of the basic fundamentals of ice skating: gliding, stroking, crossovers, edges, various stops & turns and move into more advanced moves. The program is designed to teach the basics of ice skating or improve your existing skating skills. This class is a great way to meet new people, have fun and stay fit! Class includes 25 minute instruction and 25 practice time.
There are no make-ups for missed classes or refunds.
Parents & Tots
